Culver’s of Lake Zurich, together with the Knights of Columbus Council #4535, Sorelle Restaurant, and several local churches—including Peace Lutheran Church, Messiah Lutheran, The Hope Collective, St. Francis de Sales, Transfiguration, and St. Peter UCC—will host a free Thanksgiving Day meal for the community.

The event will take place on Thursday, November 27, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Culver's located at 645 North Rand Road in Lake Zurich. Organizers state that "the meal is FREE TO EVERYONE! Come, enjoy, watch the games, and socialize with your community!"

The annual dinner aims to bring together residents from across Lake County. The area is served by the Lake Zurich Community Unit School District 95, which includes several elementary and middle schools as well as Lake Zurich High School.

Demographic data from the Illinois State Board of Education shows that District 95 is composed of approximately 78.5 percent White students, with smaller percentages of Black (1.3 percent), Hispanic (7.5 percent), and Asian (9.5 percent) students.

The district employs over 400 teachers who earn an average salary of $76,420 according to recent figures from the Illinois Report Card. In terms of spending, District 95 allocated $24,707 per student in 2020 for a total expenditure nearing $137 million.

This community event provides an opportunity for residents to gather during the holiday season and share a traditional Thanksgiving meal at no cost.
