The Park District of Highland Park has announced the launch of the New GreenPrint Master Planning project, aiming to enhance the quality of life in Highland Park through a community-based process.

The district emphasizes that parks, trails, and recreation facilities are central to Highland Park's community life. "These vibrant spaces bring families together, offer children a place to play, provide athletes with grounds to compete, and allow everyone a chance to connect and find community," said the district in its announcement.

The GreenPrint Master Planning team will collect resident ideas, aspirations, and concerns at upcoming events. These sessions are scheduled for Saturday, April 5 at Sunset Woods Park from 9:30-11:00 am during the Egg Hunt events and at the Recreation Center of Highland Park from 11:30 am-1:00 pm.

The New GreenPrint Master Plan represents the district's commitment to ensuring that parks and recreation systems continue serving all residents now and in the future. The district stresses that public input is vital for shaping a future that maintains the community's well-being.
