In the April edition of its monthly update, Community High School District #117 provided timely reminders, links for upcoming events, and news aimed at families, students, and staff. The district committed to keeping the communication concise, promising a read time of five minutes or less.

As the school year enters its final seven weeks, the district highlighted end- of-year celebrations and dates specific to Antioch Community High School (ACHS) or Lakes Community High School (LCHS). Dr. Berrie's "Sequoit Weekly" and Ms. Bowen's "News from the Nest" newsletters are accessible via email and on their respective websites under the "Quick Links" section.

The Lakes Eagles Booster Club (LEBC) announced that its annual online auction is now live and will run through April 15. Previewing items is free on both computers and cell phones; however, bidding requires a credit card. Proceeds from the auction support LCHS clubs, sports teams, activities, students, and staff.

The Sequoit Pride Booster Club revealed plans for its "Main Event" dinner and auction scheduled for Saturday, April 26. This fundraiser aims to generate funds for opportunities benefiting all ACHS students. Tickets are currently available for purchase online.

A quarterly website feature spotlighted six District 117 educators nominated for Lake County Educator of the Year awards. These staff members were recognized for embodying the district's Portrait of a Graduate principles.

Community High School District #117 encourages stakeholders to contribute questions or topics for inclusion in future updates. Suggestions can be shared with Superintendent Dr. Jeff Feucht via email or phone at 847-838-7679.
