Flags in Illinois are at half-staff to honor United States Army Staff Sergeant Jose Duenez, Jr., as mandated by the Illinois Flag Display Act.
Staff Sgt. Duenez, 25, from Joliet, Illinois, was killed along with three other soldiers from the Georgia-based 3rd Infantry Division during a training exercise accident in Lithuania.
Flags will remain at half-staff through sunset on Thursday, April 17.
