The second annual mPOWERu Leadership Academy was a celebration of youth leadership, service, and community for the Zion area.

This year, the ZESD 6 Youth Leadership Team joined forces with the Zion-Benton Township High School's National Honor Society to recognize a year of hard work and growth.

Together, these young leaders completed two service projects for the community: building community benches to enhance shared spaces and creating bookmarks and "reading fuzzy friends" to promote literacy.

In addition to their service efforts, students participated in team-building activities, a book study, and other engaging experiences designed to strengthen their leadership skills and sense of community.
