According to Lake Forest School District 67, the Gardening 2 Grow (G2G) Garden Fair hosted by the district at Market Square featured participation from all D67 schools. The event included a variety of student-led exhibits, colorful plant displays, and items for sale. Attendees enjoyed activities tied to gardening and environmental themes, contributing to a day focused on school pride, community engagement, and the promotion of hands-on learning through garden-based projects.
The annual event is coordinated by the district’s Garden Clubs and the DPM Green Team. It features student-grown and student-made items along with interactive activities such as face painting, crafts, and games while supporting school gardening and environmental education.
Gardening 2 Grow (G2G) is dedicated to enhancing student wellness by using plants, nature, and partnerships to create engaging educational spaces in schools. Their vision is to promote whole-body wellness through education. The organization encourages parents to join and supports garden clubs across District 67 schools, offering opportunities for students and families to engage with nature.
