The Village of Vernon Hills and American Legion Vernon Post 1247 announced the celebration of the 2025 Military Banners honorees, listed on their Military Banners webpage.
Each year, Post 1247 and the Village honor local current and veteran military personnel by creating banners displayed on prominent light poles in the Village. These banners remain in place from Memorial Day through fall.
The community is invited to view the group of honorees, including previous years' service members, by visiting the Military Banners webpage.
Residents are also encouraged to nominate a current or veteran service person for next year's Military Banner program by completing an application. There is no charge to honorees.
"Thank you for your service," said representatives from both organizations.
