The Batavia Police Department is actively seeking new recruits to join its team. The department emphasizes the opportunity for a rewarding career in law enforcement, encouraging individuals who are motivated and ready to serve with integrity, compassion, and pride to apply.

The starting salary for entry-level police officers is $88,559, with potential earnings up to $122,106 after six years of service. Officers certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board will be placed on the wage schedule according to their previous experience upon completing the Field Training program.

Batavia Police Department offers a range of benefits including a yearly uniform allowance of $950 and vacation time that increases with years of service. New employees receive pro-rated vacation time based on their hire date. Additional benefits include 12 paid sick days and two personal days annually.

Specialty assignments within the department include roles such as Investigations Unit Supervisor, Youth Services Detective, Traffic Enforcement Officer, and more. These positions offer opportunities for officers to specialize in various areas of law enforcement.
