Winfield School District 34 has announced its 2025-2026 Student Leadership Team, which will be involved in organizing events throughout the upcoming school year. The district encouraged families to consult the school calendar for future events and referenced the Virtual Backpack Link for archived information.

A recent event saw strong participation from Winfield School families and community members. The district thanked PTO/WEF parents for their role in making the gathering possible.

The Winfield PTO is organizing a snack donation drive to support teachers and staff during Curriculum Night on September 9th and 11th. Community members are invited to sign up and deliver snacks by September 7th to Karen Sabados’ porch at 0S770 Garfield St. “The teachers always appreciate the special treats! Thank you for your generosity!” read a statement from organizers.

In classrooms, preschoolers have been learning new routines, making friends, and participating in activities such as painting with Mrs. Doucet. Third graders focused on building classroom community through read-alouds, goal setting, and creating a class pledge. Fourth grade students practiced inferencing skills using “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore” and participated in an activity called Brown Paper Bag Museums to learn about each other through clues provided by classmates' items. Fifth graders engaged in an engineering challenge named "Bobby Droppers" to understand scientific methods and began lessons on place values and writing numbers into the millions.
