Aaron Del Mar, entrepreneur, GOP operator, and guest on the Lake Forest Podcast, said Illinois could lose another congressional seat by 2030 as people leave for red states, that J.B. Pritzker is “driving people out,” and that Democrats are using redistricting “maps” and “heat maps” to secure control.
“In 2030, Illinois will have had so many people leave for red states that we're going to lose a congressional district because we don't have enough population," said Del Mar on the Lake Forest podcast. “In 2020, we lost a congressional seat. That trend is going to continue as J.B. Pritzker drives people out of our state. What happens is when you redistrict, they try to create these maps to hold control of the seats.”
“You can take a look at everybody that lives in that area, and you can see traditionally what primary do they pull," said Del Mar. “They pull a Democratic primary, a Republican primary. Then what they try to do is draw these circles like little lassos around as many Democrats and a few Republicans to try to divide them up, so each of the areas is heavily Democratic and not Republican enough. We can't monitor how they are doing that.”
