Rib Fest
Mark your calendars for Rib Fest on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 7 a.m.-6:30 p.m. at the Village Green in Lake Bluff, where the Lake Bluff Barbeque Society continues its tradition that began in 2001 when five neighbors brought smokers to the green to compete for rib bragging rights, an idea that has since grown into a beloved community celebration featuring 20–25 teams, most led by local residents, showcasing their best barbecue skills; drawing between 500 and 2,000 spectators each year, the event highlights the unique spirit of Lake Bluff with mouthwatering ribs, friendly competition, and a daylong gathering that blends great food, tradition, and community pride in a festive fall atmosphere.
