Students at United Township High School received a series of announcements on September 15, 2025, regarding upcoming events, opportunities, and reminders for the school community.
The cafeteria menu featured options such as Sloppy Joe and Chicken Patty sandwiches served on whole grain buns, oven-baked sweet potato fries, mixed green salad, and assorted fresh fruit.
The 2025-26 yearbook is now available for purchase until December 19, 2025. Preordered books can be bought in the General Office or online at uths.net for $50. Payment methods include cash, check, and credit card. The school encourages students to order early to secure a copy.
Homecoming permission slips for outside guests are accessible in the general office or student services. Completed forms with guest ID must be submitted by Wednesday, September 24th. Students are reminded to monitor their discipline records if they plan to attend the dance.
A notice was issued stating: "Attention students: Failure to appear for your restricted lunch discipline will result in an additional referral of all-day ISS discipline, which will be added to your total referrals."
Seniors and their families have the opportunity to purchase Yearbook Senior Baby Ads until November 7, 2025. Order forms are available from Mrs. Green in room 126E or the General Office; online instructions are also provided at uths.net. Each ad section costs $30 if paid by cash or check and $31.50 if using a credit card.
During Library Card Sign Up Month, East Moline Public Library is offering limited edition UT library cards exclusively for its cardholders throughout September.
For internet access at home, UTHS provides two solutions: LinQ community-wide WiFi—which covers much of East Moline, Silvis, Carbon Cliff, Colona, and surrounding areas—and wireless hotspots that can be checked out from the Student Store with counselor approval.
Students interested in traveling to Europe during summer 2026 can pick up information from Mrs. Monson’s classroom (room 223E). There are eight spots left; signing up before September 19 secures a $200 discount.
Guidance announcements include a visit from Luther College—a private college in Iowa known for its music and athletic programs—on Tuesday, September 16th. Students wishing to meet with Michael Elliott from Luther College should sign up in the Counseling Office.
Representatives from the United States Air Force and Navy will also be present on campus on Tuesday to discuss military career opportunities with interested students.
In sports news, girls interested in bowling who missed last week’s meeting can contact Coach Krack via email. An open softball workout is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon on the varsity field; questions can be directed to Coach Alonzo or Coach Tapia.

- Fosters Voice convenes Friday morning with donuts provided.
- Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) has a meeting tomorrow morning featuring Noelle as speaker.
- Hope Club meets Wednesday afternoon to continue Homecoming preparations.
