Coal City High School offers discount coupon cards for homecoming week

Coal City High School is partnering with local businesses to offer fans a way to support the school and receive discounts during Homecoming Week. The school is selling Homecoming Week Coupon Cards for $10 each, which provide up to 12 discounts. These include free admission to both the Homecoming football and volleyball games, as well as a complimentary bag of popcorn at each event. Additional offers include discounts at local restaurants, entertainment venues, free appetizers, and reduced prices on vehicle maintenance. The coupons are valid from September 21 through October 31.

Fans can purchase the coupon cards at the Coal City High School Administration Office, during sporting events, or by contacting the high school athletic office. All proceeds will go toward supporting Homecoming Week activities at the high school.

Coal City High School is part of Coal City Community Unit School District 1, which serves Grundy and Will counties and includes several schools in addition to the high school: Coal City Early Childhood Center, Coal City Elementary School, Coal City Intermediate School, and Coal City Middle School (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). According to data from the Illinois State Board of Education, the district employs 153 teachers with an average salary of $69,297; nearly 78 percent are women and about 22 percent are men.
