Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 (CUSD 10) will again offer a Community Outreach CPR class for parents and students. Lisa Sabatino, the district’s lead school nurse, announced that the training will take place at Renfro Elementary School. Two sessions are scheduled: one in the fall on Thursday, October 23, and another in the spring on Thursday, March 26. Each session runs from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
The class covers CPR, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and choking resuscitation. It is open to all students from fourth through twelfth grade along with their parent or guardian. Students must be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian to participate. Each session is limited to a maximum of 30 participants.
There is a $15 fee per person to cover the cost of certification through American Trauma Event Management (ATEM) and a resource book.

CUSD 10 serves Madison and St. Clair counties and includes several schools such as Caseyville Elementary School, Collinsville High School, Collinsville Middle School, Dorris Intermediate School, Jefferson Elementary School, John A. Renfro Elementary School, Kreitner Elementary School, Maryville Elementary School, Summit Elementary School, Twin Echo Elementary School, and Webster Elementary School.
