On September 23, schools observed Educational Technology Appreciation Day to recognize the work of technology teams who support digital learning environments. These professionals include technology specialists, network administrators, data managers, technology coaches, and administrators who ensure that educational apps are installed, devices function properly, and classrooms have reliable internet connectivity.
The day aims to acknowledge the essential role these staff members play in providing learning opportunities for students. Their responsibilities include maintaining networks, hardware, and software required for daily instruction. The establishment of this day serves as a way to show appreciation for their ongoing efforts.
“Please join me in celebrating our innovative and dedicated Instructional Technology Team members who dedicate their time to providing exceptional support and service to so many different stakeholders each and every day. This team tirelessly looks for ways to better support the systems and people that make up the incredibly special learning and working environments within D103,” said Craig Chatham, Director of Technology and Assessment.
