Grayslake Central High School recently held its 2025 Homecoming, bringing together students, staff, and community members for a week of activities. The celebration included events such as door decorating contests, window painting downtown, snow cones at lunch, and a movie night on the football field featuring "Tangled," which matched the dance theme.

“Our goal is to connect with every student,” said Jazmyne Garcia, teacher, coach, and Student Council sponsor. “We want everyone to feel part of something bigger.”

The parade down Center Street was the largest in the school's history. Participants included students, staff, alumni from the Class of ’65, Miss Grayslake Pageants representatives, Grand Marshal Chris Thieme, and Faculty Honoree Chris D’Amico.

A blackout theme filled the stands during the Rams’ game against Lakes. Students dressed in black showed their support throughout the match.

Saturday’s Homecoming Dance saw record attendance. The event featured music, dancing, giant inflatables, and games like bags and ping-pong. Planning was handled by a student council of over 80 members who chose the theme and decorations.

This year’s Homecoming Royalty included JaNae S., Ella B., Gabi S., and Kyle D., after a three-way tie for second place resulted in all four being honored.

“These moments are where students find joy and belonging,” Garcia said. “It’s everything we hope high school can be.”
