Parent-teacher conferences for the 2025 school year in Round Lake Community Unit School District 116 are scheduled for Thursday, October 23, from 8:45 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Friday, October 24, from 8:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Parents are asked to sign up for conferences by the end of the day on Monday, October 20.

This year, the district is introducing a new platform called Tes to manage conference sign-ups. The platform allows parents to book meetings with teachers either virtually or in person, request a translator, and receive appointment reminders. Each school has a specific parent login link, and families with students in multiple schools must use the correct link for each child.

Parents can enter their details and their student’s information to log in. For families with more than one child at the same school, appointments can be booked simultaneously. The platform may list multiple teachers for a class, so parents are advised to select the correct teacher.

After selecting teachers and preferred times, parents will confirm appointments on a booking page. For in-person conferences, attention should be paid to the room number before clicking “Accept Appointment,” as this information will not appear in reminder emails or on the booking page. School secretaries can assist with room numbers if needed.

Once appointments are booked, an email confirmation will be sent by Tes’ parent company, School Cloud, within 5-10 minutes. Virtual conference links will be included at the bottom of these emails. Virtual conferences will automatically disconnect after 20 minutes for elementary students and 10 minutes for secondary students.

Appointment reminders will be sent to the email address used during login. If a teacher or secretary made an appointment on behalf of a parent, reminders will be sent to the email on file in Infinite Campus. Additional reminders will also come from School Cloud.

The district includes Indian Hill Elementary School, Magee Middle School, Pleviak Elementary School, Raymond Ellis Elementary School, Round Lake Beach Elementary School, Round Lake Middle School, Round Lake Senior High School, Village Elementary School, and W.J. Murphy Elementary School. More details about the schools can be found at https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/.

According to the Illinois State Board of Education, the district employs 512 teachers with an average salary of $69,620 before pension contributions; 72.1 percent are women and 27.9 percent are men. There are no teachers with more than 10 absences in a school year in this district. The district's demographic makeup is 11.9 percent White, 6.7 percent Black, 77.7 percent Hispanic, and 1 percent Asian (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/). In 2020, the district spent $24,469 per student, totaling $162,402,412 (https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/).

For any questions regarding conference sign-ups or appointments, parents are encouraged to contact their school’s office.

"After you have booked your appointment, you will receive an email from Tes' parent company, School Cloud, confirming your appointments. This email may come 5-10 minutes after selecting your appointment. If you have selected a virtual conference, there will be a link to attend the conference at the bottom of the email."

"If you have a virtual appointment, please note that once your conference time is up (20 minutes for elementary and 10 minutes for secondary), your video call will automatically disconnect."

"The appointment reminder will be sent to the email you entered when you logged in. If your teacher or secretary made an appointment for you, please check the email you have on file in Infinite Campus."

"Additional appointment reminders will also come from School Cloud."

"If you have any questions, please contact your school’s office."
