Principal Erin Eder is being recognized during Principal Appreciation Month for her leadership at Monroe School. She has served as principal since July 2023. Before this role, she worked as the Pupil Services Administrator for District 181 for nine years and as a school psychologist for two years.
Eder earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from National-Louis University. Her background also includes three years as a school psychologist with the Southern Will County Cooperative for Special Education.
The district noted, "Principal Eder's unwavering dedication to cultivating a positive and thriving learning environment for every student is deeply valued. Her vibrant energy, enthusiasm, and strong work ethic have been fundamental to Monroe School's academic achievements. Furthermore, her leadership in promoting a collaborative spirit among colleagues, all focused on enriching learning experiences, truly showcases her commitment to excellence."
