This afternoon, the Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 notified families about Governor J.B. Pritzker's scheduled visit to Fairmont City to discuss the impacts of Rebuild Illinois. The district advised that road closures related to the governor’s appearance could affect certain bus routes within Fairmont City, potentially causing delays in student drop-off times and requiring alternate stop locations as directed by the governor’s security detail.
Superintendent Mark B. Skertich stated, "We apologize for any inconveniences and appreciate your cooperation as we work with the Governor’s office and the Fairmont Police department for the safe transport of your children from school today." He also reminded families that they can track their child’s bus location using the FirstView 1.0 app.
