Access to the Barrington Area Library will be limited from Wednesday, October 29, through Friday, October 31, due to a full closure of Route 14 between Valencia Avenue and Berry Road. The library announced that while this phase of the Route 14 project is nearly complete and the entrance driveway has returned to two lanes with new pavement, temporary restrictions are necessary for final construction work.
During the closure period, visitors can still access the library by crossing Route 14 via Berry Road. Berry Road leads directly into the library’s parking lot. Detour signs will direct drivers from Route 14 to Washington Street, then North Avenue, and finally onto Berry Road.
The library reminded patrons that these detours use residential streets and asked drivers to proceed slowly and carefully for neighborhood safety.
