Fourth graders participate in Mars Rover design challenge at Zion Elementary schools

Ms. Harmon’s fourth grade students participated in a Mars Rover design challenge as part of their technology class. The project involved building rubber band–powered rovers, allowing students to explore concepts such as axles and energy through hands-on experimentation and teamwork.

"Through teamwork and experimentation, they discovered how axles and energy make their rovers roll!" Ms. Harmon said.

Zion Elementary School District 6 serves Lake County and includes several schools: Beulah Park Elementary School, East Elementary School, Elmwood Elementary School, Lakeview School, Shiloh Park Elementary School, West Elementary School, and Zion Central Middle School.
