Final plans for “8 Parkway North” and Portillo’s restaurant will top the agenda for Deerfield’s plan commission meeting 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Deerfield Village Hall.
Spanning just over 10 acres, the 8 Parkway North project in the Parkway North Center on Site 5 and Site 8 (Parkway North Center and Quadrangle) is ready for the approval of its final development plan; while Portillo’s will have representatives in attendance for its special use permit request regarding a drive-through configuration option on the site.
Portillo’s is a privately owned concept restaurant company with 38 locations throughout the Midwestern portion of the United States. The 9,000-square-foot eatery, located on the northwest corner of Lake Cook Road and Deer Lake Road, is slated to open in Deerfield in late 2016 and will feature a 1970's theme, two drive-thru lanes and seasonal outdoor seating.
The commission will approve previous meeting minutes from February 25, hear items from the officers and village staff and designate a representative for the village’s next board of trustees meeting prior to adjournment.
Plan commissioners will meet in the Council Chambers in Deerfield Village Hall, located at 850 Waukegan Road.
