Seniors in the Antioch area learned about the services available to them from approximately 20 companies and government agencies at a recent senior fair hosted by Rep. Sheri Jesiel (R-Winthrop Harbor).
“We’re hosting our annual senior fair," Jesiel said in a video recorded at the fair. "Behind me are a number of vendors and a number of state agencies that have come together to provide services for seniors in our community. This is always a fun event. I really enjoy meeting the people here, and I appreciate all the vendors who took the time to be here and provide their services. We look forward to it again next year and have really enjoyed our time here today.”
Older residents and their families were offered guides, literature and other resources from several county, state and local government agencies, and legislative staff members were on hand to discuss citizen concerns.
