Village of Cary Village Board met April 11.

I.Call to Order
This meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Kownick.
II.Roll Call:
Present: Mayor Kownick and Trustees Covelli, Weinhammer, Kraus, McAlpine and Cosler
Absent: Trustee Betz
Others present included Village Administrator Rife, Police Chief Finlon, Public Works Director Morimoto, Management Analyst Sage and members of the audience per the sign-in sheet.
III. Pledge of Allegiance
Mayor Kownick led in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.
IV. Open Forum
There being no comments from the public, Mayor Kownick closed Open Forum at 5:31 p.m.
V. Items for Separate Action
1. Consider for Approval a Resolution Approving an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation Authority (a.k.a. Metra) for the Development, Operation and Maintenance of a New Commuter Station Facility (R18-04-04)
Motion: Trustee Cosler moved, seconded by Trustee McAlpine to approve a resolution approving an intergovernmental agreement with the Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation Authority (a.k.a. Metra) for the development, operation and maintenance of a new commuter station facility. (R18-04-04)
Discussion-
Director Morimoto provided background and the overall process involving both Metra and the Village. Director Morimoto stated an intergovernmental agreement details the terms for the project.
Trustee Kraus asked for clarification of the cost of the project, the Village's contribution and funding involved. Director Morimoto provided information on funding, grants and contributions by Metra and the Village.

Nays: None
Abstain: Kraus

2. Consider for Approval a Resolution Approving the Village of Cary's Contribution to the Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation Authority (a.k.a. Metra) Contract for the Construction of a New Commuter Station Facility in the Amount Not to Exceed $375,000.00 (R18-04-05)
Motion: Trustee McAlpine moved, seconded by Trustee Weinhammer to approve a resolution approving the Village of Cary's contribution to the Commuter Rail Division of the Regional Transportation Authority (a.k.a. Metra) contract for the construction of a new commuter station facility in the amount not to exceed $375,000.00. (R18-04-05)
