Village of Cary Village Board met April 17.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

I. Call to Order

This meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Mayor Kownick.

II. Roll Call

Present: Mayor Kownick and Trustees Covelli, Weinhammer, Betz, Kraus, McAlpine and Cosler

Absent: None

Others present included Public Works Director Morimoto, Community Development Director Simmons, Police Chief Finlon, Management Analyst Sage, Village Attorney Uhler and members of the audience per the sign-in sheet.

III. Pledge of Allegiance Mayor Kownick led in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

IV. Open Forum

There being no comments from the public, Mayor Kownick closed Open Forum at 6:01 p.m.

V. Mayor's Report

Mayor Kownick recognized Chris Winkelman, Police Department, on his 15-year employment anniversary.

VI. Trustee Reports

None.

VII. Consent Agenda

1. Consider for Approval the Warrant Dated April 17, 2018

2. Consider for Approval the Sale of One Cary Cemetery Burial Plot

3. Consider for Approval the Cary Park District's Request to Display Fireworks in the Village on Friday, June 29, 2018

4. Consider for Approval a Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of One (1) International 7400 SFA 4x2 Dump Truck Chassis and Cab Through the State of Illinois Central Management Services Joint Purchasing Contract from Rush Truck Center, Chicago, Illinois, in the Amount of $80,432.00

5. Consider for Approval Resolution Authorizing the Purchase and Installation of One (1) Heavy-Duty Truck Dump Body and Snow Plow Equipment Through the National Joint Purchasing Association Joint Purchasing Contract from Henderson Truck Equipment, Huntley, Illinois, in the Amount of $99,813.00 in FY2018-2019

6. Consider for Approval a Resolution Authorizing the Village Administrator to Execute a One-Year Contract Extension of the Joint Bid Asphalt Patching Contract for the Period from May 1, 2018 to April 30, 2019, with One (1) Optional One-Year Extension Remaining, to J.A. Johnson Paving Company, Arlington Heights, Illinois in an Amount Not to Exceed $60,000

7. Consider for Approval a Resolution Approving an Adopt-A-Roadway Volunteer Agreement with Sean Wheeler

8. Consider for Approval a Resolution Authorizing the Village Administrator to Execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) for the Route 31 Corridor Subarea Plan

Motion: Trustee McAlpine moved, seconded by Trustee Betz, to approve Consent Agenda Items #1 - #8.

Ayes: Cosler, Kraus, Weinhammer, Betz, Covelli, McAlpine

Nays: None

Abstain: None

Motion Carried

VIII. Items for Separate Action

1. Consider for Approval Minutes of the April 3, 2018 Village Board Meeting

Motion: Trustee Kraus moved, seconded by Trustee Weinhammer to approve the Minutes of the April 3, 2018 Village Board Meeting.

Discussion None.

Ayes: Kraus, Betz, Covelli, Weinhammer, Cosler

Nays: None

Abstain: None

Motion Carried

2. Consider for Approval Minutes of the April 11, 2018 Special Village Board Meeting

Motion: Trustee McAlpine moved, seconded by Trustee Kraus to approve the Minutes of the April 11, 2018 Special Village Board Meeting

Discussion-

None.

Ayes: Covelli, Kraus, Weinhammer, McAlpine, Cosler

Nays:

Abstain: Betz

Motion Carried

IX. Administrator's Report None.

Department Head Reports Management Analyst Sage stated the Curbside Brush Pickup program will begin the week of May 14th for residents north of Rt. 14. Residents south of Rt. 14 will have their brush collected beginning the week of May 21st.

None

XII. Adjourn

There being no further items to discuss, a Motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 6:15 p.m.

Motion: Trustee Kraus

Second: Trustee McAlpine

The Voice Vote noted all ayes and the motion carried.
