Vernon Hills Park District issued the following announcement on July 11.
The Donnelley Park playground is expected to open the week of July 23rd.
Although it will look 100% complete by the end of this week, there is a piece of the playground that is damaged.
It is being replaced and will take another week to produce and ship to our Park District.
An audit of the playground will be performed after the slide is installed and then mulch will be added next Friday.
The playground is expected to open on Monday, July 23rd.
The Ranney Park playground is expected to be open by next Thursday, July 19th.
The contractor is working on installation this week. Mulch is expected to be installed on Tuesday, July 17th and the final playground audit will be on Wednesday, July 18th.
