Report: Rondout spent $34,307 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Rondout School District 72 is up 20.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Lake County school district spent $28,497 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $34,307 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 151 to 132.

Rondout's spending in 2017-18 was 157.2 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
