       Nature of Appeal: The petitioner and property owner, Jamie Atwell of 581 Washington Place, Highland Park, IL 60035, requests by authority of Section 150.1204(A)(1), Section 150.1204(A)(4), and Section 150.1204(A)(5), of the Highland Park Zoning Code, a variation of provisions of Section 150.703, Section 150.703.3(A), and Section 150.707(D)(1), as required under the R6 & SLOZ zoning districts, to (i) encroach 10 feet within a R6 required front yard of 25 feet along Washington Place, (ii) to exceed the maximum allowed floor area of 2,080 square feet by 245 square feet to a proposed 2,325 square feet, and (iii) to exceed the maximum allowed 30% rear yard coverage by 27.6% to 57.6%, in order to construct a new detached garage on a property with a single family residence.
