Grant Community High School District 124 recently issued the following announcement.
Grant Community High School is pleased to announce it has partnered with Herff Jones – in collaboration with graduation technology partners StageClip and MarchingOrder – to host a virtual commencement for the senior Class of 2020. The event will be held on Sunday, May 24 at 2:00 pm.
In light of current challenges surrounding the COVID-19 global health crisis, resulting in a closed campus for the remainder of the school year, GCHS believes a virtual graduation in lieu of the previously scheduled ceremony is the best option at this time. School administration is still working on plans for an in-person ceremony on Sunday, July 19, but felt that the Class of 2020 deserves some form of ceremony on their originally scheduled date.
With help from Herff Jones and its partners, Seniors will be given the opportunity to upload their own picture and message for the virtual ceremony. It is the hope of GCHS administration and faculty that all community members will join together to celebrate virtually. As we approach the date of this ceremony, a link will be provided for you to join us! Seniors, please continue to check your emails on a regular basis and look out for further information regarding your virtual ceremony.
