Analysis: Wauconda pays $4.60 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Wauconda FPD Firefighter's Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.3 percent of the $1,974,524 the Wauconda FPD Firefighter's Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.60 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Wauconda contributed $1,625,023 to the fund, which saw a $152,002 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $352,811, or 17.9 percent, in 2018.
