DEERFIELD PARK DISTRICT: airPHX – A New Standard of Clean at Sachs Recreation Center

Park 10

Deerfield Park District issued the following announcement on Jan 27.

airPHX technology provides 24/7/365 coverage against bacteria and viruses, generating sanitizing air via a wall-mounted unit. airPHX (pronounced “Air Fix”) units produce a proprietary blend of Reactive Oxygen Species.

These ROS gas molecules occur naturally in most environments, but airPHX produces them in a unique mixture that is continuously effective in sanitizing spaces in an organic and safe manner. These units are used in medical facilities like ICU’s, airPHX units consistently result in 95.6% to 98.2% fewer airborne germs and 92% fewer surface germs.

Studies have shown airPHX technology is effective against coronaviruses with the same genetic make-up as COVID-19 on various surfaces, including plastic, metal and flooring. The airPHX units provide nonstop sanitization of ambient air within each space and all exposed surfaces, including fitness equipment, weights, rubber, wood and tile surfaces.

One wall mounted unit will treat up to 200,000 cubic feet of space, achieving better than hospital grade levels of cleanliness.

During the month of January, the Sachs Recreation Center has installed eight airPHX air and surface sanitizing units throughout the facility. The SRC is glad to be able to provide this extra and important peace of mind to all SRC members and guests when they visit the SRC. If you have any questions on airPHX systems at the SRC please contact Tony Korzyniewski, SRC General Manager at tony@sachsreccenter.org or 847-572-2660.
