Report: Grayslake School District spent $20,814 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Grayslake Community High School District 127 was up 25.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lake County school district spent $16,550 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $20,814 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 3,030 to 2,762 students over the same period.

Grayslake's spending in 2019-20 was 43.6 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
