Lake County Sheriff's Crash Investigators are examining an overnight single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred in unincorporated Antioch at approximately 4:45 a.m. on September 2.
According to a Lake County Sheriff's Office news release, deputies responded to the call at Grass Lake Road and Bluff Lane in unincorporated Antioch for a vehicle versus tree traffic crash.
Deputies found a 2009 Pontiac Vibe on the south side of the roadway. The car and tree had major damage.
The male driver, who had not been identified, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Lake County Coroner's Office has scheduled an autopsy. The crash remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff's Office Technical Crash Investigations Team.
