Forester Day, Lake Forest College's annual day of giving, generated $750,000 in gifts from over 1,640 donors for various campus initiatives. These included annual scholarships, the Forester Fund, the College’s endowment, student leadership programs, and more.
The event was held on Thursday, February 27, and featured activities such as trivia for students, the Third Annual Telethon, a Forester Flair contest, and celebrations on campus as well as in Chicago and Denver. The entire Forester community united to support the future of the College and its students.
Highlights of the day included:
- Gifts received from 46 states
- The Class of 2023 had the highest number of alumni contributors
- The Forester Fund, Football program, and Spike Initiative topped the leaderboard in gifts
- Parents of the Class of 2026 won the current parent giving challenge
- More than 25 percent of the Class of 2028 made a contribution
A spokesperson said: "Thank you to everyone who called in to the telethon, attended our celebrations, and took the time to give back to the College. "
