The Batavia Police Department has published a summary of incidents reported between February 9 and 10, 2025. The report includes details on traffic violations, accidents, theft, and domestic battery.

Incident Details:

  • No Valid Driver's License Arrest: On February 10 at 3:41 AM, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of North Kirk Road. The driver, identified as Brogan A. Ebel, 35, of Montgomery, was arrested for operating a vehicle without a valid driver's license. Ebel is scheduled to appear in court on March 18, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Kane Branch Court, located at 530 South Randall Road, St. Charles, IL.

  • Property Damage Accidents: Two property damage-only (PDO) accidents were reported:

    • At 6:17 AM on February 10, a collision occurred at the intersection of North Kirk Road and East Fabyan Parkway involving two drivers. One driver was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident; no court appearance is required.
    • At 8:43 AM on the same day, another two-vehicle accident took place at 822 North Batavia Avenue. Similarly, one driver was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, with no court appearance necessary.
  • Theft Report: A theft was reported at 11:29 AM on February 10 at 1515 Paramount Parkway. An unknown offender stole a tool cart valued at $120.00. The investigation is ongoing.

  • Domestic Battery Incident: At 1:24 PM on February 10, officers responded to a domestic battery report at 100 North Island Avenue, which is the address of the Batavia Police Department. Two subjects were involved; no injuries were reported, and no arrests were made.

  • Hit-and-Run Accident: At 6:46 PM on February 10, a hit-and-run incident occurred near Bernadette Lane and Concord Street. A parked vehicle was struck by another vehicle, which left the scene before officers arrived. The case is under investigation.
