The students of Westminster High School, led by Student Council members, made a significant impact for Make-A-Wish Colorado this year.

The student chosen for this year’s wish was Edwin, a five-year-old with a respiratory disease who dreams of a trip to Disney World.

Students organized events such as a 5K run/walk, a night out at Skate City, and new this year, a dodgeball tournament featuring staff and administrators. Students also had the opportunity to donate by participating in an event where they could throw a pie at a teacher during the pep assembly on the last day of Make-A-Wish week.

With all the hard work from Student Council, especially Sophomore class president Ida McCoy, Westy surpassed their fundraising goal of $8,500 to raise $11,514.75.
