Students at Coal City High School are engaging with Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" in a dynamic way as part of their English 1 curriculum. Rather than simply reading the play, the students are actively bringing it to life through performances.

In addition to acting out scenes, the students are using choice boards for each act. These boards offer a selection of three distinct activities designed to demonstrate their understanding of the story.

The activities incorporate elements of art, music, and writing, providing students with various avenues to express their comprehension creatively.

This approach allows each student to showcase their grasp of the material in unique ways, blending different forms of artistic expression into their learning process.
