Seniors take one final walk through Coal City Schools
The Coal City High School class of 2025 will be awarded their diplomas on Sunday, May 11. To complete their final day of classes, the students made one final visit as a group to the schools they attended starting in kindergarten.
Senior Walk has become a tradition and is anticipated by both the graduates, their former educators and the students who line the hallways to wish them well.
Sunday’s graduation ceremony will begin with the procession of graduates into the competition gym beginning at 1:50 p.m. and the ceremony to follow at 2 p.m. Doors open at 1:15 p.m.
Ahead of commencement, the school will recognize those students who have been named Acclaimed Coalers and Acclaimed Coalers Scholars during a ceremony at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 9. Academic recognition for the Top 10 percent will take place during the ceremony on Sunday afternoon.
