Presentation and Committee action regarding policy resolution and platform change submission for the upcoming 2025 National Association of Counties (NACo) Annual Conference.

• NACo annually allows for members to submit policy resolutions and platform changes for consideration at the NACo Annual Conference. The NACo resolutions process provides members with the ability to participate in national policy decisions affecting county governments.

• In 2024, staff worked with Members on the submission of resolutions related deflection initiative funding, and railway safety.

• In preparation for the conference this year, staff is working with Members to submit resolutions related to BEAD, Digital Literacy, Election Cybersecurity Funding, Railway Safety, and Community-based Violence Intervention Funding.

• Staff will review the NACo Policy Resolution process, the draft policy resolutions,
