The Coal City Boys Golf Team continued its strong performance Wednesday night, defeating Reed-Custer with a team score of 169-196. The Coalers also achieved another season-best team score of 168 on back-to-back evenings.
Frankie Ponio and Jaxon Duke both recorded scores of 39, marking season bests for the players. Reed Suzberger posted a personal best with a score of 43. Other contributors included Cody Scheer with a 47, Kory Lovell with a 48, and Trevor Walker who finished with a 49.
“I am extremely proud of how dedicated and hardworking this young group of freshman and sophomores have been this season, and it is great to see it start paying off as the season nears the end,” Coach Harlan Kennell said.
