Coalers Boys Golf defeats Lisle in conference match

The Coalers Boys Golf team secured a win in the Illinois Central Eight conference, defeating Lisle 190-198 on Thursday, September 11. The match concluded a busy week for the team.

Team members contributing to the victory included Frankie Ponio, who shot a 44; Jaxon Duke, with a 48; Reed Sulzberger and McKale Perino, each scoring 49; and Kory Lovell and Trevor Walker, both finishing with a 51.

The team will next compete on September 17 when they host Peotone at Cinder Ridge Golf Course. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.

Coal City Community Unit School District 1, which oversees schools including Coal City High School where the boys golf team competes, serves Grundy and Will counties.
