Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 (CUSD 10) will conduct a test of its emergency communication system on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The test is scheduled for the morning while school is not in session.

The district stated, "This districtwide notification will provide an opportunity to confirm all families and staff receive an urgent communication, and allow everyone to experience a sample emergency message. If you do not receive a message on Tuesday, November 11, please notify your child’s school."

Families are encouraged to log into Skyward Family Access or contact their child's school to verify their contact information. The district also recommends downloading the free ParentSquare app to streamline communications.

According to CUSD 10, "Urgent alerts will override all notification preferences, and will be sent via text, voice, email and app notification." The announcement clarified that no action is required when receiving the test message: "Note: There is no need to act or respond when you receive the TEST message."

The district explained what constitutes an urgent alert: "A ParentSquare urgent alert is for time-sensitive and critical events that require immediate attention, such as school closures, weather emergencies, critical threats or lockdowns. These alerts are one-way communications that send the same message instantly to the entire school or district through multiple channels, including text, email, voice and app notifications based on your information in Skyward."

CUSD 10 serves Madison and St. Clair counties and includes schools such as Caseyville Elementary School and Collinsville High School. More details about the schools in this district can be found at https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/.

According to data from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), CUSD 10 employs 418 teachers with an average salary of $60,392 before pension contributions; most teachers are women. Teacher attendance rates remain high with none having more than ten absences per year. Additional information is available at https://www.illinoisreportcard.com/.
