The College of Lake County (CLC) men's basketball team recently received commitments from three high school players for next season, including Wauconda star Jarod Stonis, according to a press release.
Stonis averaged 17.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 steals a game last season, according to the boys basketball statistics page on MaxPreps.com. He shot 52 percent from the field, including 38 percent from behind the 3-point line, and 80 percent from the free-throw line. He was named to the All-Area first team, among other honors.
Carmel High School's Brian Julien also recently joined the Lancers after averaging 15 points and notching three rebounds and three assists per contest last season.
Ian Haflinger of Lakes High School in Lake Villa also signed. He averaged 16.3 points and 6.3 rebounds a game last season, according to the team's MaxPreps.com page.
