Lake Forest Community High School District 115 recently announced a gathering of students and staff to celebrate the girls' cross country team's successful season and to support senior Pilar Rosales as she advances to the state competition.

According to Lake Forest High School (LFHS), its athletics program aims to promote participation, personal growth, and excellence by balancing student-athletes’ academic and athletic development. The program seeks to build confidence, leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship while encouraging broad involvement, school spirit, and community unity. It emphasizes the rewards of effort, discipline, and practice, the development of physical skills for future opportunities, and fostering a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.

LFHS Boosters is a nonprofit organization supporting Lake Forest High School athletics. It promotes student-athlete success, spirit, and sportsmanship. The group offers memberships and sponsorship opportunities, with donations potentially qualifying for tax deductions. Community Partner Sponsors such as Lake Forest Bank & Trust help fund various programs benefiting LFHS students. Membership is open to all supporters without obligations beyond donation. Annual memberships run from August to May, with additional contributions possible without membership.

Lake Forest High School was founded in 1935 as a public secondary school in Lake Forest, Illinois. It serves grades 9–12 for students from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood. Located at 1285 N. McKinley Road, the suburban campus is home to the Scouts with royal blue and gold as its colors. The school emphasizes academic excellence with about 95% of students pursuing higher education. Its culture values mutual respect, collaboration, and personal support with strong ties between students and faculty. Recognized as a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School, it carries the motto "Abeunt Studia in Mores," or "pursuits become habits."

Lake Forest Community High School District 115 serves approximately 1,500 students in grades 9–12 from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood. The district provides a wide curriculum with advanced placement courses, electives, athletics, performing arts clubs, career pathways while also emphasizing social-emotional growth and community service. More than 95% of students pursue higher education after graduation. Feeder schools include Deer Path Middle School, Lake Bluff Middle School along with local private and parochial schools. Districts 115 and 67 share services such as administration finance human resources technology special education to improve efficiency reduce costs.
