As Illinois legislators work to clear a path to a firmer financial foothold for the state, Rep. Nick Sauer (R-Lake Barrington) will guide a group of constituents through the Cuba Marsh Forest Preserve on May 5.
“The General Assembly is entering the final weeks of regular session, and I want to hear from constituents about the issues and concerns most important them,” Sauer said. “Rather than connect with constituents through the traditional office hours setting, this ‘Talk on the Trail’ will give us the opportunity to connect while taking advantage of one of the beautiful forest preserves that our district has to offer.”
Sauer and local leaders will walk and talk with residents from 9 to 10 a.m. in the preserve in Deer Park, which can be accessed at 24205 W. Cuba Road. In case of rain, Sauer will offer normal office hours in Libertyville.
Sauer said he plans to hold a series of "Talks on the Trail" events throughout the year, allowing him to connect with constituents while highlighting the 51st District's preserves and parks.
