The calls in Libertyville included 108 fires - 71 structure fires, 17 vehicle fires and 16 other fires. The fire department also responded to four calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $2,275,873 in fire loss - or about $21,073 per fire.
The department also received 752 false calls, including two malicious calls and 750 other false calls.
The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury and one civilian fire-related death. Additionally, two fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents.
The Libertyville Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 41 active employees and 23 retired or inactive employees, was $1,442,326 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $13,355 for every fire in 2016.
