CLC hosting Holiday Sing-Along with Dan Zanes Dec. 17
The College of Lake County (CLC) will host Grammy Award-winner Dan Zanes in two performances designed for families of children with autism or other special needs on Dec. 17.
The Dan Zanes Holiday Sing-Along, featuring guests Claudia Eliaza and Pauline Jean, will create a magical, musical experience, according to CLC. Zanes is a leading name in family music and boasts a style that combines elements of fold, rock and roll, and soul music, among other styles.
The CLC shows are specifically designed to be open and welcoming for all patrons, with audience vocalization and movement built into the performance. Those attending are invited to bring sensory accommodations like earplugs and stress-reducing toys, and JLC also will be providing some sensory accommodations for attendees.
The performances will begin at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts on the Grayslake campus. A complimentary continental breakfast will be served at 10:30 a.m.
Tickets are $28 for adults, $27 for seniors or CLC staff and alumni, $15 for CLC students and those ages 12 to 17, and $8 for children younger than 12.
Those interested in attending can purchase tickets at the JLC Box Office.
