VERNON HILLS PARK DISTRICT: Deerpath Park Outfall Pipe Maintenance and Shoreline Stabilization Improvements

Park 10

Vernon Hills Park District issued the following announcement on May 30.

The Deerpath Park Outfall Pipe Maintenance and Shoreline Stabilization Improvements project is set to commence mid June and finish early July.

They are replacing the outfall pipe(s) leading into Evergreen Lake on the far north/northwest corner of the lake.

The walking path from Deerpath Road into Deerpath Park towards the tennis courts will be closed until completion of the project.

There will be extensive shoreline work near the outfall pipe and along the southern shore of that section of the lake.

This is not a Vernon Hills Park District project, but the Park District has dedicated funds towards the shoreline stabilization effort in order to ease erosion concerns into Evergreen Lake.

For more information, call Public Works at 847-680-2270.

Information may also be available on the Village of Vernon Hills’ website.
