Davidadamkesswikimedia

Vernon Hills Park District issued the following announcement on Aug. 20.

Children in grades 4-7, enrolled in the District’s Summer of Service (S.O.S.) summer camp, created blankets for children in need through Project Linus. a non-profit organization.

Blankets are collected locally and distributed to children in hospitals, shelters, social service agencies, or anywhere that a child might be in need of a big hug.

Eye Level Learning sponsored Project Linus during this summer’s Summer of Service Camp.

Some of the blankets that the kids created will be on display at Eye Level Learning, 1356 S. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville, from August 27-September 7.
