Yingling appeared to outpace Idstein by a margin of 16.6 percent on Tuesday in the township.
In comparison, the 2014 winner, Democrat Sam Yingling, won by a margin of 8.9 percent in that jurisdiction, beating Republican Rod Drobinski, who received 6,244 votes to Yingling's 7,464.
